Peer reviewers play a critical role in ensuring the scientific quality, credibility, and relevance of the Zambian Journal of Sports Physical Therapy.
Role of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, fair, and constructive reviews
- Assess scientific rigour, originality, and clinical relevance
- Comment on methodological quality and ethical standards
- Provide feedback that helps authors improve their work
- Declare any conflicts of interest
- Maintain strict confidentiality
Key Review Criteria
Reviewers are asked to evaluate:
- Relevance to sports physical therapy and athlete health
- Appropriateness of study design and analysis
- Transparency and completeness of reporting
- Interpretation of findings and clinical implications
- Contribution to African and global sports physical therapy knowledge
Recognition of Reviewers
ZJSPT recognises reviewers through:
- Annual public acknowledgment on the journal website
- Certificates of reviewing contribution
- Consideration for Editorial Board appointments
- Documentation for CPD and academic promotion
